• My favorite math subject to study is triangular billiards. Here is a research project i did on it. (It's a little outdated -- at the time, obtuse triangles were known to have periodic trajectories only up to an apex angle of 100 degrees, but this has since been improved to 112

alpha tuning

Electronic music pioneer Wendy Carlos created alternate tunings for her 1986 release Beauty In The Beast. My favorite is alpha tuning, sometimes called Carlos Alpha, which is a fascinating scale that unlike standard tuning has true perfect fifths, but no perfect octaves!
